Real Engagement Active Training  for 16-19 year-olds

REAcT2 logo

Our three month programme is for you if you’re a 16 to19-year-old not in employment, education or training and would like the chance to explore education, training and employment options you might not have thought of before.

We will set you up with your own personal learning schedule, which will look at any specific needs you might have and also focus on your special interests! You can even choose a work experience placement!

Drama, art and technology based projects are particularly popular and if you’re interested in the construction industry, you can train in Wheatsheaf’s in-house construction skills workshop.

You can find out more information here on the website REAcT2 page or by phoning me, Emma, on 0781 7971402 for an informal chat.

For information about the project generally speak to either Michelle or Emma on 023 8023 7662.

Real Engagement Active Training for 13-19 year-olds and Their Families

Working in partnership with youth charities Motiv8 and Youth Options our new pioneering programme to support young people aged 13-19 and their families uses a five-stage intervention approach - identify, engage, support, progress and move on.

We have outreach workers in Southampton and Havant, self-development days, team-building training and social events all form part of the programme.

For more information speak to Michelle on 023 8023 7662.

And if you’re 13-19 and feel stuck in a rut or just want to make a difference to your life check out our new service for you, your family and your friends!

New Young People’s Project

Future Jobs is an exciting new project working with 18-24 year-olds and over the next 18 months we will be supporting clients through work and training placements.

The programme is funded by the Department of Work and Pensions and clients receive the minimum wage for 25 hours a week over the six months of their training. All work undertaken must also benefit the community and placements will be at Southampton City Council, in organisations such as Southampton University Hospital Trust and the People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals, along with training in our own construction skills workshop here at Wheatsheaf House.
Clients can also access basic skills learning, including Learn Direct courses.
